Todrick Hall defies categorization. He is an artist, choreographer, drag star, entrepreneur, performer, and producer, but also much more. He has Bay Area ties and will soon be performing at Sonoma Pride. I had the joy of interviewing him recently for the
San Francisco Bay Times. And just to let you know what a sweetheart he is, I mentioned my partner Rick’s birthday, and without being prompted, Todrick sent me a special, heartfelt birthday video for Rick. Rick was thrilled!

POET, artist, philosopher and academic, Sarah Rice is one of the true chameleons of the Canberra arts scene – and she sings, too.
A former soprano with Canberra’s long-running Oriana Chorale, she’s returning to the choir armed with an ArtsACT grant for an ambitious project that puts all her talents to work.
The multi-arts project inspired by Rice’s poetry about to take the stage at Llewellyn Hall under the title “Text/ure,” was made that all at easier by the fact that Oriana’s newish conductor, Dan Walker, was keen to attract new audiences and new choristers, so was on board from the start. ....

.-ArtisNaples announced today a significant gift from Patty and Jay Baker and Jeanette Montgomery Evert and Herbert P. Evert to The Baker Museum permanent collection: Red Reeds, by Dale Chihuly, an outdoor installation in the Norris Garden that is part of the exhibition Dreaming Forms: Chihuly Then and Now, which closes today. The work, which consists of elongated red blown glass reed forms, will now become a part of The Baker Museums collection and will remain in the Norris Garden. ....

.-OSL contemporary and i8 Gallery are presenting a pure land , a solo exhibition by Callum Innes. The show comprises a group of fifty watercolours constituting a single, major work by the artist. a pure land is collaboratively presented by OSL and i8; this marks the artists third show with each gallery. The exhibition opened on February 19 at OSL contemporary and will be on view until March 20 in Oslo; it subsequently travels to i8 Gallery where it will be on view from April 8 to May 22 in Reykjavík. ....
